History of Lottery in India
India faces many problems in its lottery history. The mother of all reasons was private lotteries that work in India. These lotteries were not verified or approved by any Indian Department of State.
So these lotteries were becoming the reason for various disputes in India. Then a time came when the Indian Government decided to ban private lotteries. They collect data on all private lotteries and seal their offices.
Then the Indian Government announced the start of State Lotteries. The Legislative Assembly of India makes a special act to operate the State Lotteries. Lotteries (Regulation) Act of 1998 passed with the help of all the States.
The main reason for starting the State Lotteries was that, these lotteries would elevate the poor public to the upper level with the help of lottery prizes. When people update their life status with the help of prize money, the States will also generate revenue with their money.
